On arrival at Brisbane Airport, you will be met and transferred to the Gold Coast for a four-night stay. The remainder of your day is free to relax or explore the city at your leisure.
Explore Tamborine National Park, the jewel of the Gold Coast Hinterland, and its charming mountaintop village. Begin with a peaceful walk through Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Park, where kangaroos and the occasional koala can be spotted in their natural habitat. Learn about the region’s First Nations heritage from expert guides endorsed by local Yugambeh representatives.
Continue to Mount Tamborine for morning tea with oven-fresh scones, followed by a guided rainforest walk to the scenic Curtis Waterfall. Stroll along Gallery Walk to browse locally made art and crafts, and sample boutique wines or craft beers (own expense) for a perfect taste of the mountain’s vibrant culture.
Today is free to relax on the beach or take in the many sights of the Gold Coast. Visit the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary or meet marine life at Sea World. Step back in time to explore rainforests that date back to Gondwana, take a tour beside Yugambeh traditional custodians to learn about the Gold Coast’s rich Indigenous culture at Dreaming Mountain (Jellurgal). Learn to Surf or kayak along the waterways. Gold Coast is renowned for its abundance of fine-dining, international cuisines, family-friendly surf clubs and lively pubs to consider exploring! Soar above Brisbane’s Scenic Rim, where forested valleys and vine-covered hills reveal their true beauty at sunrise. Begin your day with a 30-minute hot air balloon flight, taking in panoramic views of the picturesque landscapes below. Upon landing, join the crew to help pack the balloon before celebrating your adventure with a glass of Champagne and a delicious hot buffet breakfast at a local vineyard. Return to the Gold Coast mid-morning.
After breakfast, transfer from the Gold Coast to Brisbane Airport for your flight to Cairns. On arrival in Cairns, you will be met and transferred to Palm Cove for a 5-night stay.
