On arrival in Australia, you will clear customs and immigration and transfer to the domestic terminal for your flight to Darwin. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation for a 4-night stay. The remainder of your afternoon is free to relax and enjoy the facilities of the hotel at your leisure.

Day 12 (Wed) - Uluṟu (B,D)
This morning, board a coach for transfer to Uluṟu. Emu Run Tours offers a comfortable coach journey from Alice Springs to Uluṟu, providing a scenic drive through the breathtaking landscapes of the Red Centre. Along the way, enjoy informative commentary from experienced guides and stop at key points of interest, making the trip both relaxing and enriching.

Designed to explore the region's natural and cultural landscapes, Desert Awakenings includes a traditional Aussie breakfast of bacon and egg rolls, damper with syrup, and hot drinks in the open air. Your expert guide will reveal the area's natural history, interpreting animal tracks and nighttime activity in the sand. As daylight brightens, enjoy a guided tour at Uluṟu's base, discovering the Mala Tjukurpa (creation story) and its rich cultural significance.
Return to the resort for lunch (own expense) and some time to enjoy the resort facilities or to just relax on your balcony.
This afternoon, walk through the windy Walpa Gorge where thirty-six giant domes (The Olgas) tower above. Covered by sea 500 million years ago, soft rock eroded away as Kata Tjuta remained. Kata Tjuta means ‘many heads’ in local Pitjantjatjara Aboriginal language, and is a sacred site to the male Anangu Aboriginal people. Your tour ends back at your hotel, leaving time to freshen up for any dinner experiences you may have planned.
At dusk, enjoy sparkling wine or beer and outback canapés on an exclusive dune top as your host introduces the enchanting Field of Light. As night falls, 50,000 glowing glass spheres illuminate the landscape, inviting you to wander and immerse yourself in this mesmerizing display beneath a star-filled sky.

Day 16 (Sun) - Melbourne (B,L)
Your last day in Australia showcases one of the most scenic drives in the world, the Great Ocean Road. Experience this majestic coastal drive-in style with your small group and enjoy time to relax and fully appreciate the wonders of this world-famous touring route. Stay on the lookout for some very special animals including whales, dolphins, echidnas and bandicoots. Your camera will get a good workout along this exciting journey where we will stop for plenty of photo opportunities. Stop at Apollo Bay, a tranquil seaside town which is most noteworthy for its setting among the soft rolling hills. It offers a great selection of cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy some lunch. Following this, we will enjoy a walk in the forest in the Otway Ranges. A truly unique day out, capped off by a visit to the ancient rock formations of the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. Arrive back in Melbourne early evening.
