Description

This seven-day Taiwan journey blends high-speed travel, coastal relaxation, historic exploration, and cultural depth.

The adventure begins in Taipei, where travelers settle in before boarding Taiwan’s remarkable high-speed rail. Reaching speeds of 300 km/h, the train whisks you to Kenting, a sun-soaked town at the island’s southern tip. Here, sandy beaches, vibrant night markets, and leisurely pursuits such as swimming, cycling, or hiking set the pace. A day trip to the tranquil Hsuhai area and Mudan Bay offers striking scenery and insight into the region’s natural beauty.

From Kenting, the journey heads north to Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s bustling southern port city. Stops include Hengchun Old Town, home to rare Qing-era city walls, and Kaohsiung’s cultural landmarks, such as the ornate Spring and Autumn Pavilions and the city’s lively arts center.

Day five begins with a spiritual highlight: the vast Fo Guang Shan Monastery, with its towering Buddha statue and eight pagodas dedicated to Buddhist virtues. The journey continues to Tainan, Taiwan’s oldest city and former capital, renowned for its ancient Confucian temple, alleyway shrines, and famous culinary scene.

In Anping, Tainan’s historic district, travelers explore Dutch colonial sites, including an old fortress and the surreal experience of walking inside the roots of a giant Banyan tree. The day concludes with rejuvenation at Guanziling’s hot springs and mud baths before returning to Taipei by rail.

The itinerary closes in Taipei, with a final transfer to the airport, leaving travelers enriched by Taiwan’s blend of coastal charm, spiritual sites, historic wonders, and modern vibrancy.
