    Day 3 - Arrive Auckland

    On arrival in Auckland, you will be met and transferred to your central hotel for a 2-night stay.

    After a quick refresh, make your way to Weta Workshop where the crew will take you on a guided journey through three fully developed and original film concepts: nail-biting horror, a fantasy epic and mind-bending sci-fi. It’s your chance to explore interactive and immersive make-believe film sets. Get up close and hands-on with enchanting environments, resident creatures, hyper realistic giants, a galactic robot and much more.

    Head downstairs to learn the story, feel the passion and experience the All Blacks story up close and personal.     Day 4 - Rotorua (B)

    Collect your rental car in Auckland and set off on an adventure through the lush Waikato countryside towards the enchanting Waitomo Caves. Journey through rolling green hills and picturesque farmlands before arriving at Waitomo, where you’ll descend into an underground wonderland illuminated by thousands of glittering glowworms, creating a magical, starry sky effect. After this mesmerizing experience, continue your drive to Rotorua, passing through scenic landscapes dotted with charming small towns. Arrive in Rotorua, known for its geothermal wonders and rich Māori culture, ready to unlock more adventures.

    This evening, enjoy a thrilling 2.5-hour guided adventure featuring ziplines and Indiana Jones-style swing bridges suspended 25 meters above the ground. This exciting experience also includes VIP access to Nightlights, allowing you to skip the queues and avoid peak season wait times. Arrive at Hanger 15 minutes before your tour to check in and receive a safety briefing. After being harnessed up, you’ll walk to the course entrance and ascend a spiral staircase into the Redwood canopy. From there, navigate through the course, moving from platform to platform across themed swing bridges and zipping between trees on three flying foxes. Along the way, guides share fascinating insights into the cultural history, forest ecology, and unique plants and wildlife found in the area. The adventure concludes with a descent down another spiral staircase before returning to the starting point.

    This evening, immerse yourself in Māori heritage and culture while experiencing the incredible geothermal wonders of Rotorua at Te Puia.

    Begin with a 90-minute guided tour through the geothermal valley, where you’ll witness the spectacular Pohutu Geyser erupting and explore the bubbling mud pools. Visit the kiwi house for a chance to spot New Zealand’s iconic nocturnal flightless bird.

    Discover traditional Māori arts at the carving and weaving schools, observing ancient crafts being practiced firsthand. Conclude your visit with a cultural concert followed by a delicious hāngī feast, traditionally cooked in an underground oven, paired with New Zealand wines—a perfect finale to your Te Puia experience.

Along the way, take a break at Huka Falls to witness the powerful turquoise waters, or visit Craters of the Moon for a short walk-through steaming vents and bubbling mud pools. Arriving in Tongariro National Park, you’ll be surrounded by dramatic volcanic peaks, including the iconic Mount Ngauruhoe. Optional activities include hiking the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, exploring the Tawhai Falls (also known as Gollum’s Pool from Lord of the Rings), or taking a scenic ride on the Sky Waka Gondola for panoramic views of the mountains and rugged landscape.

    Day 7 - Palmerston North (B)

    After a hearty breakfast, drive to either Okahukura or Tokirima for a memorable half-day guided rail cart adventure. Immerse yourself in the beauty, culture and Māori history of the region and marvel at the engineering and determination of our pioneers as you travel along 43km of the railway. Venture through 10 hand-cut tunnels, including the longest at 1.5km, and travel across several of the impressive hand-made bridges. A stroll and refreshments at Lauren’s Lavender Farm complete the itinerary, an intriguing introduction to the Forgotten World.

    Continue to Palmerston North for an overnight stay.

    An early morning start as you drive down to Paraparaumu Beach to join a full-day tour to Kapiti Island.  Learn the unique balance of conservation, ecology and local human history Kapiti offers. Your guide will walk with you and share the rich human and ecological stories, and help you identify the flora and fauna. At the completion of the tour, continue to Wellington for a 2-night stay.
