    Day 1 – Arrive Cape Town

    Welcome to South Africa. Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you'll be met and privately transferred to your hotel overlooking the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your journey or begin exploring the waterfront's many shops, cafés and restaurants at your own pace. With Table Mountain providing a spectacular backdrop, Cape Town offers the perfect introduction to Southern Africa.

    Day 2 – Cape Town City Tour (B)

    Discover the rich history and vibrant culture of Cape Town on this fascinating city tour. Drive past many of the city's iconic landmarks, including the Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the historic Slave Lodge, before stopping at the impressive Castle of Good Hope (optional), the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa. Originally built in the 17th century as a replenishment station for passing ships, the castle offers a fascinating glimpse into the country's colonial past. Alternatively, spend time exploring the historic Grand Parade, a square that has played an important role in South Africa's history.

    Continue through the city with insight into the story of District Six before enjoying a stroll through the beautiful Company's Garden, a tranquil oasis in the heart of Cape Town. Wander the colourful streets of the Bo-Kaap, where brightly painted houses line charming cobblestone lanes, and discover the rich heritage and traditions of the Cape Malay community.

    Visit a renowned diamond cutting workshop to witness the craftsmanship behind South Africa's world-famous diamonds while learning about the country's diamond and gold mining history. The tour continues along Cape Town's stunning Atlantic coastline, passing the vibrant V&A Waterfront, Cape Town Stadium, Sea Point, Clifton and the beautiful beaches of Camps Bay.

    The experience concludes at the iconic Table Mountain. Guests may admire the spectacular scenery from the lower cable station or, weather permitting, purchase a ticket to ride the rotating cableway to the summit (additional cost) for breathtaking panoramic views over Cape Town, the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding mountains. At the end of the tour, return to your hotel or choose to spend more time atop Table Mountain before making your own way back.

    Day 3 – Cape Peninsula & Boulders Beach (B)

    Day 4 – Cape Winelands (B)

    Spend a delightful day exploring the world-renowned Cape Winelands, where rolling vineyards, dramatic mountain scenery and historic towns combine to create one of South Africa's most celebrated regions.

    Journey through this picturesque landscape and visit a renowned wine estate for a guided cellar tour, gaining insight into the art of winemaking from vine to bottle before enjoying a tasting of exceptional local wines.

    Continue to the charming village of Franschhoek, regarded as the culinary capital of South Africa. Rich in French Huguenot heritage, the town is home to elegant cafés, boutique galleries and acclaimed restaurants. Pass the impressive Huguenot Monument before enjoying free time to explore and purchase lunch at your leisure.

    Travel over the scenic Helshoogte Pass to the historic university town of Stellenbosch, famed for its oak-lined streets, beautifully preserved Cape Dutch architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Enjoy time to wander through the town centre, browse its boutique shops, galleries and cafés, and soak up its unique character. (Please note that some galleries and shops may be closed on Sundays.)

    Day 5 – Cape Town to Kapama Private Game Reserve (B,D)

    Transfer to the airport for your onward journey to Hoedspruit (airfare not included). On arrival, you'll be transferred to Kapama Buffalo Camp, an intimate luxury tented safari lodge nestled amongst the trees. After settling into your elegant safari tent, head out on your first open-vehicle game drive in search of the Big Five as the African bush comes alive in the cooler evening hours.
