First, UNESCO World Heritage Site, Victoria Falls, one of the world's most spectacular natural wonders, straddling the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, "The Smoke That Thunders," the falls cascade over a precipice spanning over a mile wide and plummeting over 350 feet into the gorge below. The sheer power and majesty of the falls creates a mesmerizing spectacle, enveloping visitors in a misty spray and echoing with the thunderous roar of cascading water.
Then it’s time to head to the bush. Fly by light aircraft to Hwange National Park, the country's largest and oldest national park, spanning over 5,600 square miles. Renowned for its diverse wildlife and vast landscapes, Hwange is home to a staggering array of species, including large elephant herds, lions, giraffes, and over 400 bird species. Its sprawling plains, woodlands, and waterholes delight photographers and offer game rich opportunities for unforgettable safari experiences. With its rich biodiversity and conservation efforts, Hwange National Park remains a symbol of Zimbabwe's commitment to preserving its natural heritage and promoting sustainable tourism in the region.
Finally, fly north by light aircraft on to Mana Pools National Park, located along the lower Zambezi River. Renowned for its pristine wilderness and unique floodplain ecosystem, and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mana Pools offers breathtaking scenery, with ancient riverine forests, expansive floodplains, and towering escarpments. The park is celebrated for its abundant wildlife, including elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and diverse bird species. Visitors can explore the park on foot on game walks which offer intimate encounters with wildlife or embark on thrilling canoe safaris along the Zambezi River.
