Asia Answers, a leading wholesaler selling travel to Asia, is seeking a Destination Specialist who has a passion for Asia and who can apply their expertise to choreograph the perfect itinerary.
Key Responsibilities:
Convert client enquiries into bookings by effectively qualifying the call, offering different tour packages and quote pricing.
Ensure all reservations are processed with careful attention to detail, maintaining administrative tasks including documentation, managing schedule changes, and processing airline reservations in GDS.
Communicate/sell our preferred products and provide dedication to service through email, telephone, and online chat.
Develop long-lasting connections with your trade partners, creating referrals by offering unforgettable travel experiences to gain repeat business.
Answering calls and emails daily.
Requirements for this Travel Agent - Asia Specialist job are:
A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a travel agent/reservations consultant for a travel agency or wholesaler
Proven experience working in a sales environment with proven success in closing sales, meeting monthly set goals
Must specialize in customizing FIT vacations to multiple countries of Asia including (but not limited to): Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Strong knowledge of GDS/Airline reservations systems (preferable Amadeus).
The ideal candidate should have:
A passion for travel - someone who loves to travel and has travelled to Asia, visiting several of the countries they are selling.
A positive attitude and drive to utilize the tools provided to accomplish tasks proactively and are motivated by goals and sales targets.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional Customer Service and Communication Skills and who is adept at tailoring products to customer's specific needs and who understands that the relationship with the customer is paramount.
Organized - someone with excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and move through different areas of the job - including handling new enquiries, follow ups, and processing documentation
Appetite for Knowledge - someone who is always hungry to learn more about the job and destinations you sell.

Location:
This is a remote, work-from-home position. Ideally, the candidate will be based in Los Angeles or Seattle, where our headquarters are located. Existing team members are encouraged to apply.
