Discover Mornington Peninsula

With a mighty ocean to the south and protected bays on either side, the Mornington Peninsula is home to wine, golf courses with ocean views, great beaches, and Victoria’s most popular national park.

A popular destination for golfers, the Peninsula is home to some of Australia’s best courses that offer year-round golf with magnificent coastal views.  Tee off at Moonah Links, home of the Australian Open tournament, at the Dunes links layout at Rye, or at scenic Flinders, overlooking an ocean beach and Bass Strait.

Wine lovers can choose from 52 different wineries to sample pinot noir, pinot gris and chardonnays.  Many wineries offer dining, and some provide accommodation.

The hills around Arthurs Seat and Red Hill are dotted with small orchards, farms and vineyards.  Sample organic fruit and vegetables from farm gates, pick your own strawberries, or buy local produce at the famous monthly Red Hill market.

Get outdoors and fish for bream, sail, surf ocean beaches, or swim with dolphins or seals.  Enjoy walks along rugged basalt cliffs at Cape Schanck, see kangaroos at Greens Bush, cycle to the lighthouse or explore the labyrinth of tunnels and fortifications of Point Nepean that have guarded Port Phillp Heads since the 1990s.
