Discover Darwin

The capital of Australia’s Northern Territory, Darwin is the smallest and most northerly of Australia’s capital. One of Australia’s most diverse cities, it’s home to over 50 different nationalities, including Darwins original inhabitants the Larrakia Aboriginal people. Know as the gateway to the “Top End” region of Australia, it consists of the Tiwi Islands, Armhen Land, Kakadu National Park and Litchfield National Park. The nearby wetlands of the Mary River National Park are home to some of Australia’s most pristine wetlands packed with birds and barramundi.

Darwin has had to be rebuilt two times in the past century, first following the heavy damage sustained by the WWII bombings, later the city was hit by a category 4 hurricane. As a result of this, Darwin today is one of Australia’s most modern cities while still maintaining some of its original pioneering spirit.
